Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center
Supporting the Health and Wellness of Our Youth
Dear Community,
At Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center, we are deeply concerned about the mental health and well-being of our youth. The challenges that our young people face today can often feel overwhelming, and we understand that it is more important than ever to address the rising issue of youth suicide.
Our youth are the future of our community, and their mental health is just as crucial as their physical health. We know that our young people may experience feelings of isolation, stress, and uncertainty, which can lead to devastating outcomes if left unaddressed. As a community, we must stand together to protect and support them.
We want every young person to know that it is okay to reach out for help when they are struggling. You are not alone. We encourage families, caregivers, and mentors to keep open lines of communication and to be vigilant in offering support. Our center provides resources and counseling services designed specifically for the needs of young people, and we are here to walk with you on the journey to healing and strength.
If you or a young person you know is in crisis, please reach out immediately. Your mental health is important, and there are always people ready to listen, help, and provide support. Together, we can help prevent tragedy and ensure that every young person in our community has the opportunity to thrive.
We are here for you, and together, we can make a positive change.
With care and concern,
Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center Team
