Mental well-being in rural communities can be challenged by limited access to mental health services, stigma, isolation, and economic hardships. However, the close-knit nature of Tuolumne County, access to nature, and opportunities for strong social support systems can also be beneficial for children. Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center would encourage you to help reduce the stigma and promote help-seeking behaviors.
